The Carolina First Carolina Cup, estalished in 1930, is hailed as South Carolina’s largest sporting/social event. An annual rite of spring in the state’s oldest inland town, ‘the cup’ heralds a new racing season and draws fans to mingle in a sea of vibrant fashions, sumptuous tailgate picnics, and thrilling sport.

Excitement mounts as the trumpet calls the first of the throughbreds to the post for a day of six races. This popular hunt meet draws over 65,000 enthusiastic fans,
